Tongue Rings, Tongue piercing
|
The most typical jewelry item for tongue piercing is a barbell pierced through the tongue’s center. Not to do harm to the CNS, tongue rings are normally pierced upright in the central part of the tongue, right in front of the lingual frenulum, aka ‘webbing’ which serves as a link between the tongue and the mouth cavity. Differently, if you combine two tongue piercing items together, you’ll get ‘snake bite’ piercing which is done to the side of the center and resembles animals’ fangs. Tongues can be extended easily, and the piercing opening may be increased in size after it heals up. Just as with any expansion of the hole, that needs to be done step by step, going up a size in no quicker than two months.
